DIRECTIONS

FROM THE BAY AREA:

Take 580 East from San Francisco, through Hayward, Pleasanton, Livermore, over the Altamont Pass (the group of hills between Livermore & Tracy covered with windmills).
Between Livermore & Tracy, 580 veers off to the right (toward Modesto) - do not veer to the right, STAY LEFT (or straight) - the highway turns into 205 and takes you on to Tracy.
After passing through Tracy, 205 merges onto 1-5 Northbound.
From that point it’s another 20-25 minutes into Stockton from Tracy.
Continue traveling North on 1-5 until you reach the Highway 12 Exit.
Go east towards Lodi.
Take the immediate left onto Thornton Road (frontage road past the Flying J).
The entrance to the CDE is approximately 1/2 mile down on the right. Watch for signs.

FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA:

Travel North on 1-5 until you reach the Highway 12 Exit (approx. 10 miles above Stockton).
Go east towards Lodi.
Take the immediate left onto Thornton Road (frontage road past the Flying J).
The entrance to the CDE is approximately 1/2 mile down on the right. Watch for signs.

FROM SACRAMENTO:

Travel I-5 South (toward Los Angeles).
Lodi is approximately 40- 45 minutes south of Sacramento.
As you approach Lodi, exit East on Highway 12 toward Lodi, going under freeway.
Take the first left onto Thornton Road (frontage road past the Flying J).
The entrance to the CDE is approximately 1/2 mile down on the right. Watch for signs.

Competitors - Once you have arrived at the ranch, follow road to Competitors’ entrance - you'll be able to see the barns.

Volunteers & Spectators - Once on the ranch, parking will be on the left approx. 1/3 mile down in the pasture near the “Clubhouse.” There will be signs.

Volunteers - Proceed to the Volunteer tent by the Clubhouse on foot – simply exit the pedestrian gate on the east end, turn left towards all the obstacles, and then you will see the Volunteer tent. You will be briefed and then taken to your job assignment. If you are late, please wait at the pedestrian gate for the Trolley, which will be making rounds to deliver Volunteers to Dressage/Cones, Obstacle or Barn areas.

GOLF CARTS:

Please note that no ATVs or unauthorized vehicles are allowed on course or in restricted areas.

Bikes and scooters are ok and are preferred.

This year, we have contracted with Golf Cars Unlimited to handle our competitor’s golf cart needs.

Sergio: (209) 847-2117 or (209) 595-4554 (cell).

If you are interested in using a cart throughout the event, please telephone our contact, Sergio, directly at (209) 847-2117 or on his cell at (209) 595-4554. Golf Cars Unlimited will deliver the carts to the event. The rental period will be September 15-18, 2011. All carts will be subject to the same rental period as they all will be delivered and picked up as a group. Carts will cost $75 per day for 4 person or flat bed carts. All rates include delivery and pick up. You will make your payment directly to Golf Cars Unlimited. There will only be gas carts available, as we do not have the facilities available to charge electric carts. Please make your reservations early, as there will be no “extra” carts available for people who do not make reservations. Contact Sergio with specific questions on the carts.

*IMPORTANT*
Per rule GR301.5.a: “Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions.” In addition, our insurance company prohibits us from allowing any person under the age of 18 to operate a golf cart or other motorized vehicle, regardless of whether or not they have a license. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent, guardian, and/or trainer from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition. These rules apply regardless of permitted uses allowed by Golf Cars Unlimited. Please consult your rulebook for details on penalties for violation of this rule and other specific language relative to this matter.
